Craig Rothleitner

Director/Founder

A qualified Motor Mechanic and heavy rigger by trade, Craig’s interest in bringing solutions to problems defined his path to ARI. 10 years working in the dredging industry where Craig learnt how vast amounts of water and sediment / sand interact when reclaiming land at scale. In 2005 after a near-life-changing event on a construction site working as a rigger he invented the world’s first plug that allows water and air to flow in both directions whilst that water and air. Just prior to the GFC nearly 40,000 TemPlug Building Plugs had been placed in the market. When the crash occurred, he had a choice, to go back to working for others or come up with a new idea. It was at this point the idea of how to bring a solution to the cycle of urban waterway contamination was borne. This cycle of waste entering the drains, then being flushed into waterways / harbors has continued unabated for over 200 years as long as the infrastructure has existed. 19 years later Craig has a solid understanding of the contamination processes, infrastructure and the broken environmental system that has become intrenched due to lack of suitable technology, until now.
